Defining Style
It's Up to You
By Clare Tattersall, staff writer
What is style? Style is the essence of you that you wear on the outside. It is the part of you that you want people to see. It is the part of you that you want people to recognize and understand. Style sets you apart and lets you belong.
How do you define your style? Is it mysterious? Is it obvious? Can it be summed up in one word or two? Or is it beyond definition? Whatever it is, it is yours.
You can change your style, but no one can change it for you. Others can call your style by any name they choose, but only you can decide what it is. They may like or dislike it, but you can't please everyone, so you know that only you will choose how to represent the true you.
What are your style secrets that make you unique? Hair? Makeup? A musical influence or a literary inspiration? Activity? Interest? Speciality? Do you style your own clothes or shop at vintage stores? Are you eclectic or straightforward? Do you care what is in fashion or does fashion follow you?
We want to hear what makes you who you are. Capture the essence of 'you' in a few words and send your creative ideas to submit@studio2b.org. And there's a lot more to come in the future. Check this page often for tips and ideas to discovering your personal style. |
