You Are

Keep your head up high and don't slack down.
If you believe in yourself, you'll be the girl in the crown.
There is hope for you in the future as you sit and dream.
All of your hard thinking will suddenly be seen.
You have the power and you will make it through.
I'm being honest right now, I'm not lying to you.
Right now you're at the stem, but soon you will bloom
Into something really special, lovely and true.
In my eyes you are a girl who is a star.
And when you do good, you will go far.
Don't change for anybody.
Just be the kind person you are because you are, you really are.

I thought I knew,
I had no Idea.
I thought I was right,
I couldn't be more wrong.
But because you loved me,
I knew it would be alright.
You would catch me.
If I went out too far,
You would pull me back in.
If I went too low,
You would pull me back up.
We are a team.
You told me stuff to make me happy,
But you told the truth.
