Become a Global Teen for Planet Earth…
and You Might be Chosen for a Trip to India
Are you and your friends fired up about protecting the environment? If the answer is yes and you (and your group) are between the ages of 13-19, you could become a Teen for Planet Earth, sponsored by the Wildlife Conservation Society.
Why become a Teen for Planet Earth?
If you become a Teen for Planet Earth, you can:
- Change the World – one community at a time – by completing a conservation service project that will impact your little corner of the Earth.
- Become Famous! Your project may be showcased on the Teens for Planet Earth Web site.
- Travel to Asia! Your project may be featured at the Global Teen Summit scheduled for summer 2008 in India.
You'll find all you need to know to register and select, plan, budget for, and put into action your conservation project by visiting teens4planetearth.com. Consider working with a local mentor – a Girl Scout advisor/leader or science teacher, for example – who is willing to champion you to success.
If you and your group become Teens for Planet Earth, send the team's names, e-mail addresses, and council name to María Cabán at wildlife@girlscouts.org. When e-mailing, type "TPE" in the subject line.
