The 2005 National Girl Scout Convention is Coming
The National Council Session 50th Convention is being held Friday, October 7 through Monday, October 10, 2005.

The Purpose of the Convention Is:
- TO EXPLORE current needs and provide input on issues which are important to the future of the Girl Scout Movement.
- TO DELIBERATE and vote on proposals.
- TO ELECT a New Board of Directors and National Nominating Committee for the 2006-2008 trienniums.
Attendees
Delegates and Official Visitors are determined by local councils. Both delegates and visitors must be registered members of Girl Scouts of the USA and be 14 years of age or older at the time of the convention.

Registration
The registration fee for girls is $160.00 (14-17) before the deadline and $180.00 after the deadline. Hotel rates will range from $147.50 per night plus tax to $214.00 per night, depending on the number of people in a room. Hotel information and reservation procedures will be distributed to local councils in May 2005 and hotel fee prices will be determined in the near future, so keep your eye out for new information on this Web site. Day passes will also be available. |
