Pune Challenge - Thursday, July 5, 2007
Hello Everyone!
Today we had our Pune Challenge. For this challenge we received four envelopes with addresses in them. The object of the challenge was to get to all of the listed places in your packet via auto-rickshaw and answer the questions found in each packet about each location.
This was a great start to the day because it was very fun to try and find each location with your group. Every groups list of places to go was different, but most of the locations were to find parks, temples and markets. However, the fourth and final destination of the challenge was the same for everyone because it was the meeting place for the whole group and where we had lunch. After lunch we had the opportunity to go shopping in different markets and shopping areas that are close by where we could buy souvenirs.
For dinner tonight, we were invited into the homes of Indian families to experience a traditional family meal. The purpose of this dinner was to ask questions about day-to-day life in India, from the people who know it best. Each host family prepared enough dinner for their families, themselves and three girls from Sangam. This was definitely a highlight of the week because we were able to meet so many new people! I can't wait until tomorrow!
